Suited Poker Cards
Whenever there are suited cards on board there is a possibility of a flush. You will be dealt suited cards 23.5 percent of the time. Here are the odds for making a flush.
With two suited cards
the probability of Percent Odds Against
Flopping two for a four flush 11 8.1 to 1
Then making the flush with
2 cards to come (9 outs) 35 1.9 to 1
Flopping three for a complete flush 0.84 118 to 1
Flopping one of your suit 41.6 14 to 1
Flopping one and making flush
on the river 4.2 23 tol
Flopping none of your suit 46.6 1.1 to 1
Making a flush of a different suit
(5 suited cards on board) 0.2 548 to 1
Connectors
There are many combinations of cards that you use to make a straight. It is easiest when you start with maximum connectors. Max connectors are two cards adjacent to each other with three cards open on each end. There are seven sets of max connectors. They are 4-5, 5-6, 6-7, 7-8, 8-9, 9-T, and T-J. The chart below shows the odds for certain situations.
Maximum Connectors
the probability of Percent Odds Against

straight draw 9.8 9 tol
Then making a straight with
2 cards to come (8 outs) 31.5 2.2 to 1
Flopping an inside straight draw 21.6 3.6 to 1
Then making a straight with
2 cards to come (4 outs) 16.5 5 to 1
Flopping a straight 1.3 76 to 1
In some cases I have rounded the numbers instead of using two decimal places. For those wishing to do the calculations, the math used is explained in detail in Hold'em Odds by Mike Petiv.
